How the website and research app handle information, the account controls available to you, and the processing terms to confirm for your deployment.

Scope and contact

Zalari is developed by DeepCounsel with Nyamaropa Technologies as technology partner. This page covers the Zalari website and describes information handled by the research app. Team workspaces and private deployments have configuration and data-handling arrangements agreed with each organization.

For a privacy question, correction, deletion request, or request to stop email updates, use our contact form or email hello@deep-counsel.org. Include the email address associated with your enquiry or account. Do not include confidential case material in the request.

Website enquiries and email updates

Our enquiry forms collect your name, email address, and message. Depending on the form, you may also provide a phone number, website, organization, or enquiry topic. The submission includes the address of the page from which it was sent. Resend delivers these details to the Zalari team's configured inbox so the team can respond.

When you subscribe through the website footer, Resend records your email address in a contact list for Zalari updates. You can ask to stop receiving these updates using the contact details above.

The form service derives an identifier from your network address to limit repeated submissions. Its counters are held in server memory or, when configured, Upstash. This identifier is separate from the enquiry details delivered by email.

Browser storage and website resources

The website stores your light or dark appearance preference in your browser's local storage. You can remove that preference by clearing site data in your browser. Clearing website preferences does not delete an app account or information previously submitted through a form.

Some pages request a font from Google Fonts. Loading an external resource sends a request from your browser to that provider. Following a link to the Zalari app, Law Reports archive, or another website takes you to a separate service with its own information handling.

App accounts and content

The app's registration form asks for an email address and password, with optional name and organization fields. Authentication and account records use Supabase. Account settings let you update profile information.

When you use the app, it processes the questions, messages, files, and other content you submit, together with generated responses. The app stores chat history and records associated with projects, documents, workflows, and reviews so you can return to your work. Where document storage is configured, files use Cloudflare R2.

AI requests can include conversation content, relevant document excerpts, and tool results. That content is sent to the model service used for the request. The app supports several model services; the provider and processing route depend on the selected model and service configuration. Confirm the current providers, processing locations, and their retention and training terms before submitting sensitive information. A private deployment does not by itself establish that every model runs within your own infrastructure.

Where you share a project, review, or workflow, the app uses sharing records to make that material available to the selected recipients. Check the recipients before sharing. A connector or external tool can also send information to the service you connect; review its terms and permissions before use.

Usage, billing, and support records

The app records AI usage and billing information where those features apply, including model usage and payment references. Service errors can produce diagnostic records. Detailed AI interaction logging can also be enabled in a deployment; ask whether this is enabled for your account and what it records.

If you contact us, the details you provide form part of the enquiry or support correspondence. Website messages are delivered through Resend. App authentication, storage, AI processing, connected services, and payments involve the providers configured for those functions. Ask for the provider list and processing terms relevant to your account or deployment.

Export and deletion

The app's Privacy & Data settings provide JSON exports for chats, tabular reviews, and account records. The account export includes document metadata; it is not a download of every stored file. Save any files you need separately before deleting work.

Privacy & Data settings also provide controls to delete chats, owned reviews, and owned projects. Account settings include account deletion. Use the confirmation shown for each action to understand its scope. These actions require an authenticated account and may require an additional security check.

These controls target the app records covered by the selected action. They do not establish a deletion schedule for backups, diagnostic logs, payment records, provider-held data, or earlier email correspondence. Contact us for the retention periods and deletion process that apply to those records, or if an export or deletion control is unavailable in your deployment.

Confidential material and deployment terms

Before uploading privileged or sensitive information, confirm the applicable access controls, staff access, model processing, training use, storage locations, retention periods, and deletion arrangements. Use sample, non-confidential material to evaluate experimental drafting. Drafting is unsuitable for client advice, court filing, or other production legal work.

Team and private deployment requirements should be recorded in the arrangement agreed with your organization. Do not assume that a particular security certification, confidentiality safeguard, retention period, or restriction on model training applies without confirmation.

Privacy requests and updates

Contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, communication preferences, or the privacy requirements relevant to your use. The rights and obligations that apply depend on the relevant law and the service arrangement. This page does not promise a particular response time or establish compliance with every privacy regime.

Updates to this page will be shown with a revised date. Review it alongside the terms provided for your account or deployment.
